Chicken with coffee-cream sauce

  • 400g diced chicken;
  • 1 large chopped onion;
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves;
  • 80ml brewed coffee;
  • 200ml fresh milk cream;
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch;
  • 3 tablespoons milk;
  • 2 tablespoons oil;
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley and scallion;
  • 2 tablespoons grated cheese;
  • Salt e black pepper to taste.


Season the diced chicken with the crushed garlic, black pepper and salt, and set aside.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the chopped onion over medium heat until it starts to turn golden. Add the chicken and fry for 7 minutes.

When the chicken is fried all over, add the brewed coffee (Drip Coffee Bag Jurerê is a great option, because it is superfast to make), and let it evaporate for about 3 minutes. Add the fresh milk cream, the grated cheese and the corn starch dissolved in milk.

Stir constantly over low heat until sauce is creamy (add more milk, as needed), correct the salt, add the chopped parsley and scallion and serve!
